Elephants

 As the sun began to set the vast flood plains of the Okavango delta, 3 bull elephants were grazing in the flood plains as we got closer to them they held high their trunks high in the air as they sniffed the breeze.After a few moments  of hesitation, the 2 young males began to ran,their massive bodies moving with surprising grace across the flood plain.As they ran, their massive feet pounded the earth, sending small clouds of dust and mud into the air. The sound of their footsteps echoed across the plains, a deep rumble that seemed to shake to the very ground beneath them.As they approached the edge of the delta , they slowed, their massive ears twitching as they listened to the sound of rushing water.Without hesitation,they plunged into the deep channel,their trunks held high as they waded through the murky depths.As the moved deeper into the delta, their pace quickened once more, and they began to run again, their massive bodies creating a huge splash with every step they took. The sound of their splashing and trumpeting echoed across the water, creating a symphony of sound that filled the air.

For a few moments , the 2 elephants ran across the flood plain, their massive bodies seeming to defy gravity as they moved with incredible speed and grace. And then,as quickly as they appeared, they disappeared back into the brush, leaving behind only the sound of their trumpeting and the memory of their stunning display of power and beauty.
